STORYTELLING ASSIGNMENT
House of Thol

Visual storytelling (photo’s, drawings etc.)
- The pictures are very aesthetically pleasing
- They don’t show the cork at the top of the bulb for waterworks
How the text is written
- The text is written clearly and uses pictograms to enhance the message
What works according to you?
- The aesthetics work well
What could be improved
- They don’t show the product completely or how it works
- They could talk more about the reason why they developed this product

David Derksen

Visual storytelling (photo’s, drawings etc.)
- A lot of images were used to tell the story which made it a lot clearer
- The process was an important part of the story so a lot of images were about that which was good
How the text is written
- The text was written clearly but definitely needed the visuals to be properly understood
What works according to you?
- The connection to China works very well mostly due to the images shown of China as compared to the process pictures which link very well
What do you miss?
- I miss more about the purpose of the object —> is it just a comment on deformed ceramics? is it just a decorative object?

Foefje Fleur

Visual storytelling (photo’s, drawings etc.)
- The story is very easy to follow, especially with the video
- The colours are very cohesive and work well as a whole
The use of video
- The video makes the process clear and convinces the user to change their habits
- It’s a bit childish, which works with the whole bubble ‘buddy’ thing, but the target audience is adults who have very set habits, so a more professional adult level video may have worked better, especially considering that the product costs almost 17 euros
What works?
- The story works well
- They want to save plastic by telling people to use bar soap and they made the object from recycled plastic
What could be improved?
- The target audience should be considered more
- It is a very childish video
